We are following you on the NET and think of you often. Roger and I got the Gilbert thru to Mouse Island last week and got ITS90W pretty well squared away. Mike M. - Oh, I wasn't going to mention this, but I can't resist. Remember in English class Mr. Pratt asked us what the story was about that we were supposed to read the night before and you had asked me before class started what the story was about and I gave you a line of bull and you raised your hand all proud and Mr. Pratt called on you and when you told him what the story was about, he looked at you real funny and said "NO MICHEAL, you must have read the wrong story" - oh if looks could kill! I sure did get a good laugh out of it, although you were mad at me for awhile -- oh those were the days! Maybe you don't even remember it, but I do. I have to laugh every time, cause I'll never forget your face. Just thought I'd give you something to share with the others, and by the way, tell cuz I said hello!

Each day me and my family have been following you on your trip these past days. Also my class(whose teacher is Mike O.'s nice)have been following you and printing each notice you tipe. Just wanted to let everyone know (including the guys "MKM") that Channel X (97.7 FM)is running their daily radio interviews during the news at 5:30am (too early for me, huh Kirk!), 6:30am (better), 7:30am, 8:30am, 11:30am, 4:30pm, and 5:30pm. WAGM TV NEWS(Channel 4) is also running periodic (maybe weekly) updates (they did one tonight). Also, Kirk will do anything to get out of a dentist appointment, huh Kay! P.S. Bet there weren't any naked women in the hot springs at Liard River this time of year - too bad!

Good luck to you adventurous fellows! We at WAGM are following your story closely, and I have a special interest because I just came back home after spending two and a half years in Alaska. I made the trip on the AlCan in a 76 microbus in May, so I admit, I'm a little jealous about the trip YOU"RE making! Did you really see wolves?!!!! And how was Lliard (sp?) in the middle of the winter?! Those hotsprings are my favorite place in the whole world. Hey dad, boy i listened to you on the radio today, my eyes watered up, and Mem was in the other room cring her eyes out, she misses you, so i think you better hurry up and come home. You sound a little home sick on the radio today. The Woodland School set up a thing in each room where the kids put there change in a jar and all of it is for the Pine Tree Burn Foundation. It is pretty cool, there is i picture of you guys on it. I have a basketball game tonight at Easton, I'll let you know how we did. So, have any toes lately? Guys, I have been updating the crew every morning about your travels. Everyone wishes you luck and is thankfull for those Polaris snowsleds, What I really want to know is if Mike O has had a chance to make that 550 an 800 yet, Probably why he can just sneak by you Mcarthy. The weather has been quite cold here in the County, we worked outside this morning and decided that you can keep the -55 weather. Doing a great job, keep those throttle thumbs warm.

I phoned Mark Baker to find out how they are doing with the pledges for the Pine tree Camp for Crippled Children and the Pine Tree Burns Center and he said he will let you know possible via this Guestbook.
