  • Acadia National Park - Mt. Desert Island ~ Hancock County
    Famous National Park. Features many fine hiking trails, carriage roads, campgrounds, scenic views of the Maine coast, picnic areas and more. The second most visited National Park on the east coast.

  • Allagash Wilderness Waterway - N Maine ~ Aroostook & Piscataquis County
    Scenic wilderness famous for flatwater and whitewater canoe trips. Excellent fishing, and swimming with many forest service campsites available. Class I and II rapids. Complete length is 90 miles.

  • Aroostook State Park - Presque Isle ~ Aroostook County
    Park located on echo lake with excellent swimming, trout fishing, hiking and scenic views atop Quoggy Joe Mt. Campsites, picnic areas, and boat launch are availble.

  • Baxter State Park - N/A ~ Piscataquis & Penobscot County
    Famed Mt. Katahdin looms over this area of vast wilderness. Clear running water, excellent fishing, mountain climbing and hiking opportunities abound. Advanced reservations are necessary.

  • Bradbury Mountain State Park - Pownal ~ Cumberland County
    Scenic views of Casco bay area and the White Mountains at the summit. Hiking, x-country skiing, softball diamond, picnic and play areas, campsites are available.

  • Camden Hill State Park - Camden ~ Knox County
    Park located near Mt. Battie that offers excellent hiking opportunities. Toll road to summit. Campsites, picnic tables, showers, cross country skiing, snowmobiling.

  • Cobscook Bay State Park - Edmunds TWP ~ Washington County
    This area is known for its constantly changing water level and boiling tides. Hiking, fishing, boat launching, camping, cross country skiing and snowmobiling.

  • Crescent Beach State Park - Cape Elizabeth ~ York County
    Park features a fine sand swimming beach, picnic tables, snack bar and fishing opportunities.

  • Damariscotta Lake State Park - Jefferson ~ Lincoln County
    Lakeside Park with good bass and togue fishing, fine sand swimming beach, picnic tables, grills and parking.

  • Deering Oaks - Portland ~ Cumberland County
    The largest public park in Portland, features a beautiful growth of old white oaks, footpaths, skating pond and a historic landmark.

  • Ferry Beach State Park - Saco ~ York County
    Park features a wooded area with trails and a pond. Also a fine sand swimming beach, picnic tables, facilities, a play area and good parking.

  • Fort Edgecomb - Edgecomb ~ Lincoln County
    Dates back to 1808 and 1809. Original octagonal blockhouse still remains, as well as eathworks showing layers of construction. State Park. Fee.

  • Fort Point State Park - Stockton Springs ~ Waldo County
    Scenic park that is located on a peninsula, features a 200ft fishing pier that makes park accessible by boat.

  • Grafton Notch State Park - Grafton ~ Oxford County
    Scenic park that offers panoramic views of the White Mountains. Features include waterfalls, hiking trail, fishing and access to the Appalachian Trail System.

  • Lake St. George State Park - Liberty ~ Waldo County
    Picturesque spring fed lake with good fishing and swimming. Camping, picnicing and snowmobiling also available.

  • North Maine Woods - Northern Maine ~ Aroostook & Piscataquis County
    Millions of acres of woodlands in northern Maine. Many NMW campsites available. Excellent hunting, fishing, canoeing, kayaking and hiking opportunities. Various fees do apply. Visit their website for more information.
